VIPERS ANNOUNCE 2025-26 SEASON SCHEDULE

EDINBURG, Texas (Sept. 2, 2025) – The Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the NBA G League Affiliate of the Houston Rockets, announced today the Vipers schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season. The schedule features a total of 50 games, which include 36 regular season games and 14 Tip-Off Tournament matchups.
The Bert Ogden Arena will host 24 home games. The remaining 24 games will be played on the road and each team will play at least two games at the 2025 NBA G League Winter Showcase in Florida.
For the first time this season, the two games played during the NBA G League Winter Showcase will count towards the regular season record.
RGV will tip-off the season on Friday, Nov. 7 with a home matchup against the Oklahoma City Blue. The game marks the start of the 16-game Tip-Off Tournament, which will culminate in a single-elimination tournament at the 2025 NBA G League Winter Showcase. The home stand continues for the Vipers on Nov. 13 and 15 as the team opens the Bert Ogden Arena doors to welcome the Texas Legends for the very first Texas showdown of the season.
After a three-game home stretch in November, the Vipers will go on a four-game road trip starting off with the Memphis Hustle (19th and 21st). The road trip continues as the team heads to Cedar Park for back-to-back games against the Austin Spurs (23rd and 24th). November comes to an end for the team with a return to homecourt to face off against the Osceola Magic on the 29th and 1st of December.
In December, the Vipers will welcome the Mexico City Capitanes to the RGV on the 4th and 6th. Before heading to showcase, the Vipers will make a pit stop with the Blue (12th) and the Birmingham Squadron (14th and 16th).
Following the conclusion of the Tip-Off Tournament, the 36-game regular season will begin on Dec. 19 during the Winter Showcase. Opponents and game times will be announced at a later time.
January opens with a battle of the Valley’s as the Valley Suns join the Vipers at the Bert Ogden Arena on the third. The reigning NBA G League Champions, the Stockton Kings, look to defend its title at home on the 5th and 7th. After three years, the Greensboro Swarm return to the Valley on the 9th and 10th. The last game between both opponents was in 2023. The Vipers will face the Capitanes once again in back-to-back games on the 13th and 14th in Mexico City. The Vipers then return to the RGV for four games between the South Bay Lakers (17th and 20th) and the Rip City Remix (22nd and 24th). The month closes off with a trip to Iowa as the team takes on the Wolves and its new head coach, and former Vipers head coach, Mahmoud Abdelfattah on the 26th.
February tips-off with a game against the Blue on the first of the month. The Suns return to RGV on the fourth with a familiar face. Former Vipers player, Paul Jesperson, leads the Suns as head coach. Jesperson played with the Vipers in 2016. The remainder of the month consists of matches against the Spurs (7th), Legends (12th), Sioux Falls (19th) and Iowa (22nd). The month ends with three home matches against the San Diego Clippers (24th and 25th) and the rebranded Noblesville Boom (formerly known as the Indiana Mad Ants) on the 27th.
The Vipers schedule will close in March with a total of 12 games (seven road games and five home games). The Vipers will close out the regular season against the Memphis Hustle on the 28th.
All home games will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. CST at the Bert Ogden Arena with the exception of the Kids’ Day game on Feb. 4 which is slated for 11:00 a.m. CST tip-off time.
