VIPERS TO HOST PLAYER TRYOUTS IN THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY

EDINBURG, Texas (Aug. 28, 2026) – The Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the NBA G League Affiliate of the Houston Rockets, announced today the date for open tryouts ahead of the 2026-27 season. The tryout will take place on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at the DHR Health Sports & Wellness Center in Edinburg, Texas.

The open tryout provides aspiring players with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in front of the Vipers coaching staff and general manager. Participants will compete for an opportunity to receive an invitation to the team’s training camp and potentially earn an NBA G League contract.

Registration Fee: $150 (Non-Refundable)

Players attending the tryout must bring physical copies of the completed registration form, release and eligibility form and medical consent form. These documents are available at www.rgvipers.com.

The registration fee must be paid upon arrival at the facility on the day of the tryout. Accepted forms of payment are cash, cashier’s check/money order made payable to Vipers Basketball LLC.
