VIPERS SPLIT SEIRES WITH WINDY CITY BULLS

EDINBURG, Texas (March 8, 2024) – The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (14-9), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, walked away with a 115-100 victory over the Windy City Bulls (11-14) on Friday night at Bert Ogden Arena.
The Vipers and Windy City Bulls had a back-and-forth battle in the first quarter as the game had 13 lead changes. Neither time fully pulled away until 3:25 when the Bulls took the lead and held onto it until the end of the quarter which set the game at 36-31.
Windy City got the ball rolling in the second quarter after the team went on a 17-0 run and took a 62-59 lead over the Vipers. The Bulls maintained the advantage until the end of the quarter and set the game at 66-57.
In the third quarter the Vipers started to inch in closer to the Bulls. The home team cut the visiting teams lead to three points and sent the game into the fourth with a score of 89-86.
RGV picked up the pace in the fourth quarter. At 7:55 the home team tied the contest at 99-99. The team then took the advantage and walked off with a 115-110 victory.
Houston Rockets Two-Way Nate Hinton led all scorers with 29 points. Jalen Lecque put up 22 points followed by Houston Rockets Two-Way Jermaine Samuels Jr. with 21 points.
Chicago Bulls Two-Way Adama Sanogo had a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Jalen Harris also had 22 points. Keifer Sykes contributed 16 points.
