VIPERS AND DRISCOLL REBRAND WE'RE ALL IN PROGRAM

EDINBURG, Texas (March 21, 2024) – In honor of World Down Syndrome Day (March 21), the Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that the team has partnered up with Driscoll and the Rio Grande Valley Down Syndrome Association (RGVDSA) to rebrand the “We’re All In” program. 

“We are excited to continue working with Driscoll and the RGV Down Syndrome Association to promote inclusivity in the Rio Grande Valley,” said Vipers Vice President Mario Rodriguez. “Together we can work to end the stereotypes that surround different disabilities and remove barriers to create a community where everyone belongs.” 

The primary goal of the “We’re All In” program is to help the Rio Grande Valley grow as an inclusive community, where everyone belongs. 

“Driscoll Health Plan in collaboration with the RGV Vipers and Rio Grande Valley Down Syndrome Association proudly launches the We’re All in Program, dedicated to fostering inclusivity within our community,” said Driscoll Health Plan Vice President of Provider Relations and Network Strategy Stephen Collins. “Through education, advocacy, and acceptance, we strive to create opportunities for every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, ensuring a brighter, more united future for all.”

Through a fun presentation, elementary students will learn about different disabilities and participate in activities to encourage inclusion, acceptance and kindness. The RGV Vipers entertainment teams (Venom Hype Squad and Snake Charmers) and the Vipers mascots will receive training from the RGV Down Syndrome Association to conduct the presentations. 

“We’re honored to be working with the Rio Grande Valley Down Syndrome Association and the Vipers on such an important initiative. Every kid should have a sense of belonging and feel welcomed,” said President of Driscoll Children’s Hospital Rio Grande Valley Matthew Wolthoff.
