MEMPHIS, Tenn. (January 24, 2019) – The Memphis Grizzlies have announced today that the team has signed small forward Bruno Caboclo to a 10-day contract. Caboclo becomes the fourth Gatorade call-up for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, NBA G League Affiliate of the Houston Rockets, this season, giving them a total of 33 overall.

Caboclo (6-9, 200) has appeared in 28 games, started in 23, for RGV where he averaged 16.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals and three blocks over 28.3 minutes per game while shooting 51.6% from the floor, 42.8% from 3-point range and 74.4% from the free-throw line. In addition, Caboclo was named NBA G League Player of the Week on Monday, January 21 after scoring 26 points, nine rebounds, two assists and four blocks on Sunday, January 20 versus South Bay Lakers.

Prior to the Vipers, Caboclo started off as the 20th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft with the Toronto Raptors. With the Raptors, Caboclo played in 25 games in a course of three and a half seasons where he averaged 1.6 points per game. He then got traded to the Sacramento Kings where Caboclo averaged 2.6 points and 2.1 rebounds on a 31% shooting from the field.
