Houston Rockets Assign Zhou Qi to Vipers

EDINBURG, Texas (November 1, 2018)– The Houston Rockets announced today that they have assigned center Zhou Qi to their NBA G League Affiliate team, Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Qi (7-1, 210) played in the beginning of the Rockets season where he attained two points in minute of play. In the 2017-18 season, Qi played a total of 18 games with the Rockets where he totaled 22 rebounds and 14 blocks.

Qi was previously assigned to the Vipers in the 2017-18 season where he started in 19 games out of 24. In his first season, Qi averaged 6.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 2.3 blocks. Qi made 103 field goals and 28 3-pointers.

Qi was selected by Houston in the 2016 Draft as the 2nd Round, pick 43 after previously playing in China.
